Jagathon: IUI's Dance Marathon

Welcome to the official site of Jagathon: Indiana University Indianapolis Dance Marathon!

Founded in the 2001-2002 school year, Jagathon is celebrating its 23rd year! At our 2020 event, we raised an all-time high of $607,870.25! The money raised by Jagathon supports the Herman B Wells Center atRiley Hospital for Children, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

Mark your calendars for March 2nd, 2024! You can fill out the Involvement Application (also known as the Committee Member Application) to be on a Committee or you can register as a participant for our 2024 event. We can't wait to see everyone at the main event!

Registration is now live!! Everything we do is for the kids at Riley Hospital for Children, so we hope to see you throughout the year leading up to the main event! Our main event is a 14 hour-long dance marathon on March 2nd, 2024 from 10am-12am. It's full of games, food, and plenty of dancing!

Donations

Whether it's five dollars, or five hundred dollars, all the money raised goes towards the kids and we are forever grateful for every donation.

These kids are the reason we do what we do and we want to make sure that they are getting the recognition they deserve for fighting the fight they continue everyday. We hope you remember these stories when you're dancing on March 2nd, 2024.

Countdown to Jagathon 2024!

Awards Presented by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

2017 Miracle Maker Award

Jagathon increased its fundraising total by 151 percent between its 2016 and 2017 dance marathons.

2018 Partnership Award

Jagathon created a unique partnership with the IUPUI Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Jagathon's partnering high school programs.

2018 Organization Management Award

Jagathon implemented programs and processes to help strengthen member experience and engagement, including leadership retreats and a formal transition process.

2019 Campus Advisor of the Year Award

Pete Hunter was named the inaugural Campus Advisor of the Year by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

2020 Alumni Engagement Award

This award recognizes a Dance Marathon organization that has made a successful effort to engage and work with the alumni of their organization. This includes everyone who has been involved in Jagathon: including participants, committee members, directors, Vice Presidents, Presidents, and Jagathon Ambassadors.

2021 Partnership Award

Jagathon received this award for the partnership with the Indiana Member's Credit Union. The IMCU is still currently partnering with Jagathon using affinity cards to generate funds using the card. A portion of all credit transactions up until the main event is given to Jagathon as a donation.

2022 Best High School Dance Marathon

Jagathon received this award for the work with Westfield High School Dance Marathon. Westfield High School fundraised $114,540.22 in the 2021-22 school year.
