Campus Push Days are days in which we mobilize our entire organization, from the president to participant! Our goal is to raise as much money and spread as much awareness as possible in the span of 24 hours. We traditionally have one large push day per semester--Fall Riley Week and Child Health Day in the fall and Marathon to Miracles in the spring./p>
Fall Riley Week and Child Health Day
What? Fall Riley Week is a week-long comprehensive dance marathon campaign. Each day has a specific focus, one of them being recruitment. On this day, we connect with people across the IUPUI campus and spread awareness for our cause.
Why? This day is all about uniting our campus and spreading awareness of Jagathon and our beneficiary Riley Hospital for Children.
When? 2022 Fall Riley Week takes place on September 26th-30th. Child Health day is October 3rd-4th.
Marathon to Miracles
What? Jagathon's single largest fundraising push of the year! We will invite the entire campus, our families, and our friends to join us to commit to our cause for 26.2 hours!
When? January 24th-25th, 2023.
- Marathon to Miracles had a kickoff party and ended with a celebratory reveal! In total, Jagathon was able to raise a total of $43,625.08 for Riley kids!
How you can help: Tell your family and friends about this day of giving, and how they can support pediatric research through your Jagathon fundraising efforts. Share often about Miracle Week on social media. Invite your friends who are participants to join you in fundraising on Marathon to Miracles.
Fundraising can seem like a daunting task, but don’t be discouraged! We have plenty of resources and tips to help you with your fundraising efforts. Letter Writing Campaign
What is letter writing?
Letter writing is one of the oldest and most trusted ways to raise money for the kids. Although it may seem slightly old-fashioned, a letter is truly effective. These letters are fairly short (one page) and describe our cause and how the recipients can help the kids. These can be sent to anyone- you would be surprised who gives!
Here is a list of people you should consider writing to:
Once you have completed the letter, you can put it in a sealed envelope and bring it to Jagathon's CUBE at the Campus Center (420 University Blvd.) We will provide the stamp and mail it for you. If we receive a donation, it will be added to your DonorDrive page!
Stewardship is one of the most crucial parts of fundraising, but it is so often overlooked. It is absolutely vital that we steward our donors so that they feel our appreciation and consider donating next time. There are many ways to go about stewardship, and the method you use is completely up to you. The only requirement is to make it personal! Here are some suggestions:
- Thank your donors in person!
- Use the email function on DonorDrive to email your donors soon after they donate.
- Give your donors shout-outs on social media.
- Send your donors “Thank You” cards after the event.
If you have any questions regarding stewardship, contact Janaki Dave, the Director of Stewardship at jagdm08@iupui.edu.
